Chapters 6/7/8 - A little extra

Four tags incorporating buttons, beads, tassels & cords 
made as a challenge project 





Machine stitched cords sewn as fabric base, tassels, Dorset button, bugle bead fringe.



Shisha, spiraled machine stitched cords (sewn on wire).



Beads, sequins, metallic threads.  Photo was printed on organza and layered over satin.



Metallic spiral stitching on netting with beaded dragon fly.  
Black/gold fabric is left over from Module #2.

Various styles of couching with seed beads, 
bugle beads and cords..........



Beaded spiral with shisha centre, sequins, seed beads,
 bugle beads, crystals and pearls.........................



From top to bottom, left to right.....
Row 1: seed and bugle beads, bugle beads and yarn, 
rolled paper toggles, twisted metal and tyvek beads.
Row 2: bugle and seed beads, metal rings and seed beads, 
buttons/beads/embroidery floss, painted seeds.
Row 3: seed & bugle beads, metal washer & beads, 
metal nuts/bolts/rings, shell  wood beads.
Row 4: plastic discs, wrapped rings, beads and thread, rolled paper.




Certificate Module 3, Chapter 7 - Buttons

Left side - covered plastic and cardboard cores.
Right side and scattered in center - various Dorset buttons.
Centre top and bottom - fabric spiralled and wrapped with shank on the back.





Left side - various "Suffolk Puff" (Yo-Yo's in Canada) buttons,
Right side - beaded buttons with shank backs.
Bottom centre - beaded toggles.
Background - photo showing collar and lapels made from Suffolk Puffs.






Hollyhocks - corded pipe cleaner for stem, suffolk puffs made from cotton tea bags, 
seed pods made from Dorset buttons.
Edging made from wrapped plastic film.......
....all on painted "Steam-a-Seam" bonded to several layers of painted tissue paper
